querystring id error

My code is not working because of the following line:

When I changed this
var pageUrl = 'http://www.a-site.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=3';

Open in new window

to the below, it stopped working
var pageUrl = 'http://www.a-site.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID='+blogID;

Open in new window

Here's the full code:
function getListItems(url, listname, complete, failure, timeout) {

    // Executing our items via an ajax request
        url: url + "/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('" + listname + "')/items?select=Created,Title,NumCommentsId,ID",
        method: "GET",
        headers: { "Accept": "application/json; odata=verbose" },
		timeout: 2000,
        success: function (data) {
            complete(data); // Returns JSON collection of the results
        error: function (xhr,status,error) {

	function complete(data)
		var bldRow=$('#Iblog').DataTable();

		for(var i =0; i < data.d.results.length; i++)
					   //var rowNode =
		    bldRow.row.add([ data.d.results[i].Created, "<a href='#' onClick='openModal("+data.d.results[i].Title+");return false;'>"+data.d.results[i].Title+"</a>",+data.d.results[i].NumCommentsId]).draw();

	function failure(data) {
	 alert("Operation failed.");

	 function openModal(blogID) {
		var pageUrl = 'http://www.a-site.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID='+blogID;
		var options = { url: pageUrl, width: 800, height: 850 };

		SP.SOD.execute('sp.ui.dialog.js', 'SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog', options);

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

On line 26 you have data.d.results[ i ].Title.  If Title contains an apostrophe it would introduce a syntax error.  So try:
onClick='openModal(" + encodeURIComponent(data.d.results[i].Title) + "); return false;'>"
