Problem creating folder name in Outlook 2011 for MAC

When I try to create or change the name of a custom folder by right clicking ""rename folder", the window only opens for a second, then closes before the file can be renamed.  Any suggestions for how to facilitate these name changes without working offline?

The comment was in error, so I deleted it. Sorry.

Hi Strung, I don't wish to do this in offline mode.
Why not? Just rename the folder, then go back online.

I like the workaround but it not a true fix, any further help would be appreciated.
