previous Word 2010 Add-in can't be reinstalled.

An Add-in for Word 2010 was installed on a TS/W2012/VM server. The Add-in was subsequently removed from Word and the program isn't in the list of installations. I've search the registry and the entire machine for the program, but it doesn't seem to exist. When I run the vsto from the original installation package, the installer says a previous version of the Add-in is running, even after rebooting the server.

I'd appreciate any suggestions to find the program.  Thank you.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I found the problem. it was a "botched" key in HKCU/Software/Microsoft/VSTA/Solutions that was causing the installer to throw an error. Deleting the key and letting it be re-created by the installer fixed the problem.
