linker section missing in visual studio

One of my projects in the solution in Visual Studio 2008 uses 3rd party libraries .However, I do not see any "Linker" tab when i select the project ->Properties . The Properties -> Configuration is completely missing the linker section.

This project has 3rd party header files that should link to 3 party .dlls . In order to do this, I must include the 3rd party .dll in the linker section, should I not?  And how can i do this if the Linker section is absent.

no, you would use the static libray in another project. and that project has a linker section where you add both your own static library and the static wrapper library which came with the dll.

the dll itself must be found by windows at runtime, either bacause it is in the same folder as your executable, or in some other known path.
