Add the following new VLANs to the virtual switch

Hello,

I have to Add the following new VLANs to the virtual switch. This is a VMWARE Environment. So should I login to vcenter to do it then should i go to each esx host and in the networking tab click on properties and then add? I have many virtual switches under esx and there i see each switch has many vlans

Issue is :-
please add the following new VLANs to the virtual switchens in the appropriate VMWare environments:

Goa: 3233 "rrr"
New Delhi: 1011 "bbb"
Uttar Pradesh: 2999 "vvv"

It will be slightly easier if you login to vCenter Server, as you will only need to login once!

and modify and add the virtual machine portgroup, label and VLAN tag number to each switch.

You will need to know in advance which vSwitch to add the  virtual machine portgroup to, which carries this vLAN.

Actual the ONLY way to do it is with either the vCenter server or the vCenter client application. Although technically possible, doing it on the hosts themselves would be extremely difficult and involve a lot of command line work. The Network tab you're talking about is for configuring the host access and has little to do with virtual switches for VM networking.

Please give step by step since i do not understand much. I see in networking configuration tab and then i see on each switch properties.  I asked an expert here he told all information is in ticket and nothing else. Goa: 3233 "rrr"
New Delhi: 1011 "bbb"
Uttar Pradesh: 2999 "vvv"

Where Goa etc are data center and 3233 etc the vlan id and i guess rrr etc are the name to that vlan id.

I assuming here that the labels are Goa, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and the vlan tag is trhe numbers.

Select Host > Configuration > Networking

select the vSwitch, and Properties, and Add a New Virtual Machine Portgroup.
