Endpoint Encryption

My company is looking to encrypt all of our data at rest especially end user devices as they have a tendency to come up stolen. We currently use Trend Micro Office Scan as our end point security solution and after reading the feature list of their encryption choices, I am leaning heavily towards them However, I would like to make a well educated decision so I am turning to the experts. Can you all recommend some end point encryption solutions?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First choice would always be bitlocker. It's built-in, therefore free in win8 pro/enterprise and win10. Win7ers will normally upgrade sooner or later, so it should be available to you, too.
There are many others, but basically, a lot of features are identical.

I should have mentioned that we run a mixed Mac and Windows end point environment with some Linux servers thrown in just for fun.

So... you would mention this because you are looking for a universal solution? That does not exist. No full disk encryption program that I know runs on all platforms, but maybe you'll find one, look at the OS listings and then the feature list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_disk_encryption_software

We use Symantec Endpoint Encryption in my company devices, but it works only for Windows OS's. I don't know if there is a multi-plataform solution. If there is I'd like to know too.
