Backup from iMac to iCloud, what is back up and whats not ?

I have a customer using iMac/Yosemite at home, he would like to backup everything onto iCloud (has a 1TB account).
But so far after updating everything, I can only see Pictures as the main backup option.
How do I get iCloud to backup all his documents and any folders that he chooses ?
I think I am on a lost cause as from everything I read so far, iCloud is really designed for mobile devices but hopefully someone could prove me wrong.
Thanks

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you want to take complete backup of the system then use TimeMachine or SuperDuper backup tool.
