Sonicwall Network Printer Issue

Hi Experts,

I have a Lexmark XS658de MFP as our network printer which is behind a Sonicwall TZ215. I am able to add the printer to our desktops and laptops, but it wont print. Please help.

Can you define "it won't print"?  Can you ping the printer?

If you can ping the printer, is it offline (greyed out).  If yes, can you bring it online:

Click the "Start" button and then click “Devices and Printers.” Right-click the printer and select “See What's Printing” to display the print spooler window. Click “Printer” and select “Use Printer Offline” to remove the check mark. The printer should come online at this time.

Yes, i can ping the printer. I can even see the printer on the network. We just installed the Sonicwall on our network.

Is the printer and the computer you're printing from also behind Sonicwall?  I just don't see how Sonicwall can be a problem unless if the printer and workstation are in two different VLANs or subnets.  Then you will need routing rules.

Printer is online. I can see the green check there. Maybe i am doing something wrong while opening the port 9100 on my sonicwall. But i am not sure, what.
Port 9100 is the normal printer port. However, it is also possible to use port 515 (if you set the driver to LPR in Port Settings). So try enabling port 515 as well as 9100 on the firewall.
is the printer in the same local network as the clients.
