Internet Explorer 11 - How to default to landscape print setup

We have HTML "reports" that all need to be printed in landscape...Is there a way that one that doesn't have to always go to setup & change from portrait to landscape

IE use the printer settings for its printing. Can you set a printer to be always Landscape and print to that?  Otherwise, I don't think you can make IE default to landscape.

golfingdad--Using HP printers, when you set up the printing Preferences of a page to be landscape, you should click Apply before you click OK (to print).  Now when you print the next page, landscape should be default.  Maybe other printers have something similar.

Selecting the printer page orientation is not completely covered by all modern browsers since new CSS specification is not fully implemented  (some new changes and new definitions or behaviors are not definitive)

A basic solution that you need to test with well known browsers  is:

<style type="text/css" media="print">
    @page {
        size: landscape;
    }
    body {
        writing-mode: tb-rl;
    }
</style>

Open in new window

This solution is a mix of 2 working options in different browsers that covers almost well known options.

See the last CSS specification about this definition:
http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-page/#page-size

However, the most practical solution if you always use some specific computers to print from this website,
you could better configure default options from the "Printer" control panel configuration, to print in landscape.
All print jobs by default will be landscape .
