Hi Experts,

I have EXCHANGE2007 running in a cluster.
One mailbox get each minute an email.
When I check the sender nothing is in the outbox.
But in sent items I can see the email is sent.
The email is an empty mail with an attachment as a jpg.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Here is how to get the IP address of an email sender in Microsoft Outlook:

1.      Start Microsoft Outlook

2.      Double click on message header in order to open it in a window

3.      Click File -> Properties

4.      Under the Delivery options in the Internet Headers box you can see the mail header information.

Important! You will not be able to find the real IP address if the sender uses an anonymous proxy server.

You can also tracking message in Exchange Server:
“Managing Message Tracking”

Ok here I can see who is the sender.
I checked the outbox of the sender, nothing in.
But still sending this email each minute.

Do you have any idea what else could it be ?

Some fishy users trying to send mail using telent, if receive connector is not configured properly.

Please check permission groups on receive connector on HT server and uncheck "Anonymous user"
