vmware vSwitch and VM Network

Hi Experts,

When I create a new vswitch on my vsphere 6.0 environment I have a question regarding the vswitch itself and the VM NETWORK on the vswitch.

On the vswitch under NIC teaming I set:

ROUTE BASED IP HASH
LINK STATUS ONLY
YES
NO

But what about the VM NETWORK also on the same vswitch ?
What do you recommend, also select:

ROUTE BASED IP HASH
LINK STATUS ONLY
YES
NO

and also select : OVERRIDE SWITCH FAILOVER ORDER ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All options need to be the same ON ALL.

You will find if you set the vSwitch properties, the same settings will follow all the way through, they should but check!

this can cause weird networking to occur, if they are different.
