extending vga over cat 5

Hi Guys,

I have a machine that has a display thats extended over cat 5 using adder extenders, one of the screens is showing the other one isnt even though it says vga active, i have tested other monitors so its not a hardware issue, any ideas? its windows 7?

How long are the cat5 wires, are they 24 gauge solid wire (generally not store bought cables), and what are the make and model of the VGA adapters?

If it's  not a Hardware issue then it is a Resolution/refresh rate issue.
Try to set a lower resolution and refresh rate.
