"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you perchance referring to: http://sestek.com/blog/  Speech recognition like translation services are items of ongoing research.  Unfortunately there have really not been any real break-troughs we are almost at the point of having enough cpu power and other resources  It is improving slowly but surely.. A persons speech patterns change over the day.. on a quantitative basis the afternoon voice is different than the morning voice. Computers are no where close when it comes to filtering out extraneous sounds that our brain does automatically.
