There are no items to show in this view...

Setting up a computer with 2009 POSReady (XP based OS) & when I go to My Computer>Manage>Storage, the window is blank, other than text that says "There are no items to show in this view'.
I've done 100s of these things & have never encountered this issue. Computer is a Dell OptiPlex 780.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If I go to start>run diskmgmt.msc, it says it can't be found. Other suggestions out there say run sfc /scannow, but I get a message that says ''sfc' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Gonna try wiping & re-installing...

As it turns out, this OS is petty stripped down initially. I had to add the disk management utility through add/remove windows components. That's what I was missing, the disk management feature.
