O a Dell T320 box have 3 physical disks, first 2 running as Raid 1 and 3rd disk as Global spare. 3rd disk became degraded . So replaced with new one. First thing server asks is to Initialize Disk so did that with same partition style. Now I am in Dell OMSA. &nbsp;Under Physical Disks in Controller for new disk, I just have 2 tasks available - blink and unblink. Under Virtual Disks in Controller, I have my Raid-1 Layout with all the tasks of reconfigure, delete, assign global spare, blink, etc. Then I have a second non-raid layout with 3 tasks - delete, blink and unblink. <br />
I tried to execute the assign global spare in the first raid-1 layout, but said no disk available.<br />
Do I have to reboot and access through startup to do this or can I do it in OMSA? And do I just need to execute &quot;Delete&quot; on the Non-Raid Layout so the Raid-1 Layout can see it as a Spare? Thx.
