Hi,
When i was creating java project in eclipse i have various JRE and 'project layout' and 'configure JREs', and 'configure default' etc options. Please advise what each means when to use which one. which one one will map to JAVA_HOME.

if you want to change the ini file then do:
-vm C:\pathtoJDK\bin\javaw.exe

or replace the path with %JAVA_HOME%

i have to open eclipse.ini file and replace something else with

-vm C:\pathtoJDK\bin\javaw.exe

what it meant by default jre or jdk option as far as eclipse is concerned.

What does it has by default.

please advise.

I would expect it to default to what you have defined in JAVA_HOME.
