Barcode Software
can anyone advise on a barcode software system to control stock, that can be bought off the shelf, we need to be able to record and track items print a barcode with item detail and a logo, and be able to scan items once in stock, and that possibly has a SQL back end or something that can be imported to Microsoft Dynamics at a future date

It is just differently written information that can be read with barcode scanner.
It is just information like name, address, or anything else. If you open notepad and point barcode scanner to some barcode and scan it, it will write that barcode in the notepad. So, it can be stored in SQL database or wherever you want.
