this is the substance of the delete that happens every minute:

DELETE FROM TABLE WHERE EXPIRED= 1

this could be few records or in 100s..

You can check Transaction log file growth. And you can check VLF file count and status in Transaction logfile.

dbcc loginfo()

is
VLF file count and status in Transaction logfile.
in dbcc loginfo()

if I can log
dbcc loginfo()
output to a table every minutes, do you have a formula to make this  meaningful data?
Deepak ChauhanSQL Server DBACommented:
To check the log space used

exec ('DBCC SQLPERF(logspace)')

To see the VLF file count and status

DBCC loginfo

This will give you information about your virtual logs inside your transaction log. The primary thing to look at here is the Status column. You can take a look where the value of "2" in the result. This will tell you which portion of the log are in use and which are not in use Status = 0. Another thing is FSeqNo column this is the virtual log sequence number and the latest is the last log. If you keep running this command as you are issuing transactions you will see these numbers keep changing
