Crystal Report defaults to design view

I am new to this company (and new to Crystal Reports), but I have a user who has some Crystal Reports on her computer.  Prior to today, she would open a report and see all of the data.  Now she clicks on a report and Crystal defaults he to the design view.

She has about 7 Crystal reports and each one now defaults to design view when she clicks on them.  She sent the report to me and it also defaults to design view when I open them.  When I click Print Preview, the data displays like normal.

Is there a way to get Crystal to open the reports in preview mode versus defaulting to design view?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to set the option "save data with report" to true. Be careful , because this will not run the report but will just show the data from the last run.  Best thing you can do is to get one of the report viewers here : http://kenhamady.com/cru/comparisons/crystal-reports-viewers
They will always show report data. Some are free or very reasonably priced

That may be the issue.

Are you opening the reports in Crystal?
If so that is most likely the issue.  Especially if the is no tab showing the preview.

If you are opening the reports in a viewing application I don't know why you would see a design mode.

I am opening the report in Crystal.  There is no Preview tab showing.  I can print the report to a printer and it prints fine.  However, most of the time the user just wants to view the data.  She used to be able to do that just by clicking the report (so she says....).

The only thing I can think of is the reports were saved with data and now for some reason that feature was turned off.
