ESX Migration
We are preparing for a server migration and I'm trying to find the best way to do this.
They currently have two servers with ESX 4.0 and about a dozen VMs between the two physical machines. We'll be moving to two new physical servers with ESXi 6.0.
We want to copy/move the VMs from the ESX 4.0 servers to the new ESXi 6.0 servers. This is all in production so we're trying to minimize downtime.
Is it possible to use vMotion to migrate the VMs from the ESX 4.0 servers to the the ESXi 6.0 servers? Would that be compatible and our best way to do it?
If not, what would you suggest?

Yes, compatible and the easiest.
1. Upgrade or migrate the current vSphere Center Manager server to v6.
2. Shutdown VMs in turn
3. vMotion servers to new ESX servers
4. Check config esp. network, cpu and power them on
5. Update VMWare tools
