Exchange 2013 CU update

I'm confused about the CU updating for Exchange 2013 server. I see that the latest CU update is CU9 but on the other hand I also see a 'security CU8'. I assume the security ones are stripped of the new features and just patching security holes. I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

Thank you!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

CU9 contains all of the updates released since RTM
the security update for CU8 was released 8 days before CU9; that specific update is, yes, just a security fix and requires CU8

Thank you for your answer!

I'm at CU5. Should I get straight to CU9 in order to get all the security patches?

Thanks again.
