external email not coming into new Exchange server 2010

We have a new Exchange 2010 server with an Edge server in the DMZ. Email can send internally. Email can send outbound. But external email just sits on the Edge server. No errors are showing on the edge server in the queue.

Not really sure where to start looking

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Check below things:

1. You can ping Hub transport with FQDN, if not create host file entries for required hub transport servers.
2. Telnet hub.domain.local 25  it should be connected else check with firewall/network required ports should be opened.
3. Check current time on Edge server, it should be the same as Hub.
4. Check event viewer if there is any event transport service related.
5. run this powershell on Hub servers and check nothing is not sync. Test-EdgeSynchronization
6. Check default receive connectors on hub servers, try to change authentication method as anonymous.

Check that there are Send connectors set up between your Hub and Edge transport servers are setup correctly.
Otherwise, I would delete the existing Edge subscriptions and create new ones and then do a start-edgesynchronization to ensure they are talking to one another.
