"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

However, the steps to do so a very complicated. I remembered my old days to do one with backup exec and it was proven it was harder than system recovery.

Of course, there are con and pros with both systems.

BE also have a hyperV agent that hook directly to the VM layer and backup directly. (you only need 1 agent licence if you have 1 server?)

BESR don't care whether it is hyperV or not and it backup from the OS layer (nearer to your application)
