Clearing out Winsxs Folder on SBS2008 R2

I have a Windows SBS 2008 Server with SP2 Installed.
I have run the compcln.exe which clears out components prior to SP2. I have installed the Desktop Experience Feature but this does not have the option to clear out Windows update? How can I clear out nearly 19GB of WinSX? I have managed it with Desktop Experience installing on plain Windows 2008 but not the SBS version

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Disk Cleanup will sometimes work on Server 2008 but if you cannot install it via Desktop Experience, you probably should just leave WinSxs alone. Windows updates will reduce it occasionally and it is not a good idea to manage if manually in my opinion.

You can't. SBS2008 isn't "r2", but rather based on the standard 2008 64 bit OS (Vista kernel). The Cleanup wizard for that OS version just hasn't got the option to cleanup windows updates. That only became available with Windows 7/2008 r2 (SBS 2011), SP1.

Agree with rindi.  Perhaps you could explain why you want to do this?  I assume it's a disk space issue... how large is the disk?  What else is on there?

I realise my mistake now in terms of W2008 version. It was a disk space issue and I have more-or-less sorted it other ways.
Thanks for your advice
