Wordpress installation caught in loop after wp-config.php on Ubuntu

I am configuring Wordpress on Ubuntu and after I enter my DB name username and password I am given text to paste into wp-config.php.

After I do this and click run the install I am brought back to the initial installation page.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your wp-config.PHP file either doesn't exist, or it has the wrong permissions. Go to the directory, internal, and do ls -lah and post the results here.

Thanks for your help Michael.

I ran two installations of wordpress and as a result I have two directories with two configuration files. The output I posted earlier is obviously from the installation that does not correspond with what is running.
