Thin Client problems part 2

The above links to my original issue. At this point I've rebuilt the VM from scratch, put it on a different virtual server. I've also replaced the thin client entirely, replaced the wire coming from the TC to the little desktop switch connecting it to the network, as well as replacing that network switch.

I've started what little diagnostic work I can checking the logs on the XP VM, of which nothing shows out of the ordinary. What I'm looking for now is two things: 1) Deeper diagnostics/debugging/logging I can turn on/install to get a better idea of what state the machine is in when it's experiencing these disconnects. 2) Finding the right log or logs on the thin client in hopes something there will help me. It's an ubuntu 10.04 machine underneath the hood.

Any help is appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It appears as though whatever RDP needs we have, Windows XP RDP is not robust enough to handle. If we set it up like this: Thin Client > Terminal Server > Windows XP VM, everything appears to work.
