Email consulting question

Hello Experts,

I have a client who runs an Exchange 2013 on premises organization, with multiple MBX servers in a cross site DAG, multiple CAS behind a HLB.

Recently, the client acquired another company named company X, this company only has 5 contractors and their request is to have these 5 employees to use outlook with their own email domain. We have repointed their MX records to our MX records, we created an authoritative email domain, and next step would be to setup their outlook.

The challenge that we have is that the business does not want to allow these 5 contractors to use our email systems and have the same email policies, and they asked me to evaluate 3 different approach to manage their email:

What I need from your expertise, is number one, PROS and CONS of using any of the approach below, and the infrastructure required for each approach:

1. Setup in Go daddy email accounts, then setup outlook to use these email accounts, is this option feasible? can we manage their emails with this option?

2. Setup Google apps for these 5 users, and install connector for outlook clients. their email will reside in the cloud, and we should be able to manage their email through Google Apps. is this option feasible? from internal architecture what is required to be deployed?

3.  Setup a hybrid Exchange Office 365 with our existing exchange 2013 deployment. Please, provide all components required to complete this requirement

Please, understand this is a consulting question, that requires as much information as you can provide.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is kind of a loaded question. However based on the number of users, IMO I would be doing the Exchange Online route. Low cost no infrastructure required and it is completely seprated from the other domain.

You can use the Exchange Deployment Assistant for all of the required steps to setup a Hybrid environment.

Anyone?

Sorry for the delay on this. Exchange Online is the same as Office 360 only that Exchange Online is just Exchange, nothing else.

Office 360 is a suite which include Exchange, sharepoint, Office, Lync etc. If you only need Exchange then Exchange Online will be cheaper than Office 360 because you are only paying for the Exchange piece.

Not sure why you are closing this question. I have provided my advise based on what your question was and you did not provide and feed back. Simply stating N/A is not a viable reason to delete a question.
