Access 2010: Career questions (3) running queries with the ribbon

Hi EE,

a) How do run a query
Do you go to ribbon, design tab, then click the exclamation point
I miss having the exclamation point immediately on the query screen
are there keyboard shortcuts for f8

b) I love keyboard shortcuts, so in A2010, i use what I remember
sometimes the ribbon shows little letters especially 2 letter together, what does that mean

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
