Configure Check point Safe@Office 500

Hello,

I have a router that connects to the internet, and I have  Safe@Office 500 in the same network, Can I add a VPN connection to the Safe@Office 500 if it's connected to another router? If yes, do I need to open ports in the first router? Or it's not possible and  I must connect it directly if I want to give access via VPN.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

can you draw your current topology and paste it here

Since you have Safe@Office 500, you can directly connect internet into Safe@Office 500 and you can configure the vpn on the same box.

does your current router directly connected to internet and serving internet to the workstations?

I would suggest to use Safe@Office 500 box and remove routers from network. you can apply high level firewall policy on the Safe@Office 500 to safe your network,

IN router, you cant do much firewall policies as like in Safe@Office 500 .
