Remote Web Workplace (Server 2011 SBS) – Clicking “Connect” does nothing - how to fix?

One user, but maybe more have complained that Remote web workplace has stopped working. I tried it myself and like the user report, I can get to the main webpage and login, but when I press the “Connect” button for the particular PC, nothing happens.

Can anyone recommend any troubleshooting tips to investigate this. They last used it successfully about 2 weeks ago.

This is a Windows Server SBS 2011. The user has a Windows 7 laptop. I tried from my Windows 8 laptop running latest IE.

I added the domain to compatibility view settings as I’ve read to do, but this did not help.

Update and run the SBS BPA.  Fix anything it finds.  Run the Fix My Network Wizard and the Connect to the internet Wizard from the Dashboard.  Verify all services are running.  Verify the systems are all in the correct OU.  Check the event viewer for relevant errors.  In IIS under admin tools make sure all web sites are started.

Hello,

Can you get onto other PCs ok?

Remove the remote access rights for the PC and then re-add them.  Does it do the same?
