Exchange 2007 to 2013 - Need to migrate Distribution Groups?

Got a 2007 and a 2013 co-existing at the moment. So you can see all groups in the 2013 console.

For users, we've been doing the migrate to migrate to 2013 mailboxes. Obviously, eventually, we're going to switch off 2007. But what about the DGs? Do these need to be migrated or are they done?

So far, we've gone through and converted a lot of mail non-universal groups to mail-enabled security groups. IS there anything else that needs to be done to ensure these groups are now visible on 2013 if 2007 is removed?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

distribution groups are part of active directory and not in the exchange database(s) like the mailboxes are; nothing to do in that regard
