Git Repository Tools for Eclipse

I have egit installed on my eclipse workspace and I am able to access my git repositories in that way.

I want to be able to compare my local workspace to my git repository and to be able to see the history of changes on any one file in the git repository.

It seems something else needs to be installed for me to have that capability.

Does anyone know what it is?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
