We are currently looking at a solution for a QA and UAT environment in VMware. &nbsp;Basically, we are looking to backup or replicaate our production VMs and restore them into a sandbox. &nbsp;Once in the sandbox, the VMs will not be able to communicate with the rest of the network, only between each other. &nbsp;Our developers will then be able to test code deployments or whatever against a true copy of production.<br />

Currently, we are using surebackups with Veeam. &nbsp;It works ok, but we are unable to take backups of the surebackup environment or somehow keep the environment persistent through a shutdown.<br />

Are there any products that are capable of creating a lab type enviroment? &nbsp;I spoke with a couple of our devs and they have experience vmware lab manager in the past but lab manager is no longer available. &nbsp;I think ravello would be a possible solution be we have hipaa requirements so I would would require a BAA with any cloud providers.<br />

QA/UAT Environment in VMware

VMware, a software company founded in 1998,  was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies.
