I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unless you are licensed to deploy and register the mscomctl.ocx - and you won't be, unless you own a copy of another MSFT development environment, like VB 5/6 or VC, etc - you cannot simply copy it over and register it. Not to mention that's the very definition of "dll hell" - dumping mismtached controls/libraries into your Windows System folders.

See this article for an all-VBA solution:

That uses the "MSForms" treeview, which is a VBA-compliant and "bit-stable".
