T440S and T440 hard drive swap

In the past it did not work and I assume due to the bios but if I image a hard drive in a Lenovo T440S can I take it out and put it in a T440? In the past it did not work but not sure now since all is solid state?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It should work if you set the HDD mode in BIOS to Compatible in T440.
Or if it fails to start with BSOD 0.x0007b then use the P2P Adjust OS wizard from a WinPE bootable CD of Paragon Backup & Recovery 15 Home: https://www.paragon-software.com/home/brh/
It will adjust the OS to new hardware and let it boot.
