DBMS and Upgrade to Windows 10

Dear SIrs,
I just upgrade to Windows 10 from windows 8.1, and all of sudden realize i can't connect to MySQL and SQL Server 2008R2 any more.
Did someone experience this.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Are the MySQL and SQL Server 2008 R2 databases on the Windows server?  What is the error message?

If they are on a different server, what application do you use to connect to them (e.g., TOAD)?

Are you using a different software firewall now (e.g., the Windows 10 firewall)?  Certain ports could be blocked that weren't previously being blocked.

Restarting the DBMS services after the upgrade solves the problem.
