Looking for a simple data parsing/screen scraper tool

My company uses an internal web application to perform record lookups. The records are displayed as a jsp/html file. Each record displayed contains a table which holds the data
Goal:
1) We need the ability to run a parsing tool/screen scraper on the displayed record in order to extract data off the page and into a spreadsheet.
I've done some significant Googling on a solution and so far the best solution I've come across is the HTMLAgility tool. What ever we end up with needs to be simple. JS, Jquery based would be preferable. The HTML Agility tool looks to be just that but it's a confusing as to how to get it working.
Does anyone have expereince working with a simple client-side parsing tool/screen scraper? I'm pretty good at figuring these things out once I can get on the right path. Any assitance is much appreciated.

Thank You

If you want to generate excel files, why don't you stick with server-side code?
Generating files client-side will always give you headaches with cross browser support.

The HTML Agility Pack you mentioned is actually your best bet and will work perfectly independently of the client (even if in the future you want to do it as a console application task).

jsoup is highly regarded for scraping html:

for scrapping stuff you can use Mozenda for the same but its not free,

The other way round is you can access the html code in your code behind page and do parsing using string manipulation (not recommended because dynamic contents changes and the script would fail)

as you already discussed you can use HTMLAgility pack its the best to scrape and play with HTML data.

I recommend ScrapeStorm, which has a smart mode that automatically recognizes data, and the basic functionality is free, I think you could have a try.
