First of all, this cannot be important - you never install W10 on an important machine the first week it is out.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2958069 tells that you need MSSQL 2014 SP1 on W10. Did you try that?

marrowyungSenior Technical architecture (Data)Author Commented:
yeah, I think about that, but when I first install SQL server 2014 without SP1, it already shown me the error, which also means the binary is not exist during creation and then how can I make sure that SP1 can deploy on it.

binary file is not here at all, how can it patch it?

Hi,
Can you try SS 2014 standard edition instead?

Good question, you have to be the first to debug all issues.
From experience...
1.  You don't have the path set to the directories of your DEV enviornment yet. (security feature in win 8-10)
2.  Windows 8-10 made it different from what we are used to. (I hope you can set your PATHS) in system config file.
3.  Many services are not enabled (on install) in windows 10 because there are so many security threats.
4.  Manage your services.  Make sure that the service is not disabled.

Hope this helps

"3.  Many services are not enabled (on install) in windows 10 because there are so many security threats."

I just install it on the same way I install it on Windows 8.1

"4.  Manage your services.  Make sure that the service is not disabled.
"
when the SQL server is installing it will try to start the service, that's why it prompt for error when starting it.
"
2.  Windows 8-10 made it different from what we are used to. (I hope you can set your PATHS) in system config file."

this is not for me as I tried it on Windows 8.1 before ,it works. once upgraded to Windows 10, it doesn't !

To summarize:
1. You can install MSSQL 2014 including AS on W8.1 without any issues.
2. You can install MSSQL 2014 including AS on W10, but there are errors displayed.
Which is the error message on install?
3. AS is present as service on W10, but does not run, with the error message shown initially.

So we would have to try ourself on W10 to tell more. W8.1 / W2012R2 is not sufficient, making it really unlikely anyone has tried yet.

yes! always !

"2. You can install MSSQL 2014 including AS on W10, but there are errors displayed.
Which is the error message on install?"

yes you are right!  error message is analysis service can't start ! I recalled the error message from memory is "directory not found"

before that a lot of service doesn't work as the installation wizard can't write to the directory I set in the installation wizard and it is understandable that as that drive has that directory already because of the Windows 8.1 restoration but once I remove c:\program file\MS SQL server directory, all of them can be install now except Analysis service!

"3. AS is present as service on W10, but does not run, with the error message shown initially."

yes, it present as service! but can't start! and I tried both case to use a dedicated service account and the build in service account by the installation wizard, both didn't work ! so this is not the problem of the account I use for the service to start up !

Please use exclamation marks (!) sparely. Thank you.
If there is an installation error, it is important that you review the exact messages. They will tell more, e..g which directory is not found. You can try to reinstall AS to see the error messages again.

As I commented over on the article about Windows 10, I would make sure SQL 2014 is updated to SP1 or later before trying to run on Windows 10.  MS's own article about SQL 2014 states that SP1 or later is required for installation on Windows 10:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2681562

You can slipstream SP1 into the SQL 2014 installation by following the directions on this page:
http://www.sqlshack.com/slipstreaming-sql-server-2012-2014/

But, I would also make sure you are not using SMB storage for the installation of Analysis Services. This MSDN article states that SMB storage is NOT supported:  you must use direct attached storage or a storage area network.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506.aspx

Where have you installed Analysis Services?

don't tell me I need to apply CU1 for SQL server 2014 SP1 too !

I might need to restore back my system to Windows 8.1 and install SQL server , then followed by Windows 10 upgrade.

Of course it is a good idea to integrate all CUs, SPs etc. into the slipstreamed installation files. Though I would expect SP1 as only requirement.

do you think there are some problem indicate in the error log ?

integrating too much seems a wrong direction ! my laptop at office has SQL server 2014 installed with SP1, no problem after the upgrade.

If you want to do it that way (install on W8.1, upgrade to W10): I don't have issues with that, and expect it to work. The installation process seems to be incompatible, not running AS.

No, I don't think I have any other comment.  I have no experience trying to get SQL 2014 to work on Windows 10 (although, I kinda want to try it out now).

You said that SQL is installed on the local hard drive: are drives E & D partitions on the same hard drive as C:? Or, are they on a separate drive?  For best performance, you might want to add another drive if your equipment can accommodate it.
