I have set up an new vpn on our watchguard device to take over from an old sonic wall vpn. The sonic wall is on a 2mb
Sdsl connection and the watchguard is on a 3mb Ethernet over copper connection. The watchguard is a lot slower than the sonic wall it is meant to replace? Does anyone have any ideas how to tune it up? I have read that setting the mtu to 1400 on the router, which is a Cisco 800 series could help? Does anyone else have any suggestions?
sorry, forgot to add, the MTU settings were fine, when we tried to reduce the size it caused more problems than it solved. In the end we tweaked the encryption configurations on the VPN which gave better throughput.
