Test ADFS 3.0 Authentication

I've setup a relying party trust to in my prod ADFS server to my lab environment, as I would like to test successful authentication through our Lab domain.  I am able to reach the https://<ADFS FQDN>/adfs/ls/IdpInitiatedSignon.aspx URL, but need to know how to configure in the lab environment to accept the credentials from our prod environment.  I'm assuming it's just a matter of configuring the appropriate claim rules on each end, so in the this case, i would just like to use the UPN in order to authenticate.  A walktrough or step by step of how to configure this would be greatly appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
