I need the current version of System.DataSqlServerCE.dll for v3.5 devices

I think I my vb.net app may be having a problem with an old .dll file.  On my PC, I see \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\Devices\System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll, dated 10/02/07, size 250KB.  I'm hoping someone on e-e is actively using this file as a reference in visual studio 2008, or otherwise knows for sure what the current/latest version is, and can tell me how and where I can get this one .dll file.  Note that this is for compact editions devices, such as handheld scanners, i.e. not for the desktop environment.  TIA

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Maybe this will help. You may need to install Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 1.

Try right clicking on your ToolBox select Choose Items. select .Net Framework components and see if any of the SqlServerCe components shows up, then select one of the System.Data.SqlServerCe components, if you then add it to your form it will add the reference to your project.
