SQL Data Storage in VMware environment

Hello,
we have a new infrastructure consisting of 2 esxi 6.0 host servers sharing a SAN (FC VNX) data storage where all VMs are installed.
I was asked to install a new w2k12 VM with SQL and I am  concerning about the best setup for SQL data base. Should I create a new data storage in the SAN just for SQL ? Or, It does not really matter: I can add more LUNs in the original Data storage and sharing it with the rest of the VMs....

thank you for your help.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would recommend a LUN for your SQL Server VM.
