Cisco IOS upgrade
Hi Guys,
I just used the following instructions to upgrade the IOS on a Cisco 3750 swtich.
http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2011/06/upgrade-cisco-ios-image/
And when I ran reload, the switch began to make a very loud noise,
And the console shows a series of letters particularly these
spssssssssssspssssss
And it's been like that for like 5 minutes.
Is this normal?

The IOS isn't wrong, because it is the same version that is running in other 3 switches that are currently in production environment, but I didn't upgrade those, they were like that from before they were my responsibility.
But thinking about what your are saying the upgrade was from IOS 12 to IOS 15, so I think that's why the microcode was updated, and now all the noise and the 30 minutes it took makes sense.
At the present time, the switch finished with the upgrade and now seems to be running normally.
