DPM Server 2012 cannot see share folders in protection group

Hi, we have a DPM server 2012 and were backing up some shared folders from a file server.  When we moved some of these shared folders to another server using RoboCopy, only some of the folders are visible to the DPM server, and some not.  Therefore, we are having a hard time trying to find out how to backup those folders that are not visible to the DPM server at the moment.  Any help would be great to get this going, thanks.

So are you saying robocopy copies some but not all of the files on the dpm server? I would expect it to either not copy any or all but not some. If it is only some then what error is robocopy giving for those it cannot copy? Have you check the file and folder permissions to see if the user that is running robocopy has the required rights to do this copy? please post your robocopy command with all the switches/options you are using -- thanks.

One of our staff used Robocopy to copy the shared folders from one file server to another file server.  All the files are copied over.  The problem is not that files were missing.  Problem is that when I tried to configure DPM to backup these shared folders, only some shared folders are visible.

Found out it is permission on the source folders.  There were sub-folders that needed ownership take over.  Once I took ownership and gave myself write permission, files copied over.
