Exchange 2007 - Restore

Hi,

We have had our exchange server die, I have rebuilt the server and restored the mailbox databases to it too. I have also run eseutil /p to ensure they have been repaired and not displaying dirty shutdown.

The mailboxes are now displaying within disconnected mailbox list. I need to now restore them back to their old mailstore database. Can you please provide some sort of help to achieve this.

Regards,

introlux

Note: the users are also displaying within mailbox but have false set to mailbox attribute.

I believe there is active users connected to a corrupted mailbox. Within Exchange Management, it is showing the user list but when you double click on the mailbox you get an error. I need to somehow without deleting the user attach this mailbox to the user.

Any idea?
Tried to create a new user and connect a mailbox to this user:

Error:

Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed.
Elapsed time: 00:00:01

Userv2
Failed

Error:
The mailbox that you specified is connected to "Userv2". Only disconnected mailboxes can be reconnected. Specified mailbox: "3389c7c5-6f0b-4bac-af9e-adcd6db53771".

Exchange Management Shell command attempted:
Connect-Mailbox -Identity '3389c7c5-6f0b-4bac-af9e-adcd6db53771' -Database 'server.domain.local\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database 1' -User 'domain\userv2' -Alias 'userv2'

Elapsed Time: 00:00:01

Any help will be appreciated

Have you considered to import PST's back into the users mailboxes?

Is that a possibility?

Will.
How you recover the server? Did you used recover switch?
I used backup exec to restore the mailstores with its logs. I then run eseutil /p and then mounted the datastores.

This is all I have done so far.
