MFC-J470DW prints very slow

I have a new MFC J470DW printer. It works, connected to WiFi, same network as my PC , but it prints very very slow , a six page PDF file took more then 30

A large part of this issue is related to the size of the pages that you printed.  The other part of this could be related to what driver you have installed for it.  If you use the PCL6 driver you could get better response time.

What kind of files are these? If there is a lot of graphics in the PDFs that may explain the slow speed. Is it slow with other documents, for example a Word page with just some text?

While the printer is busy, check the size of the spool file, by clicking on the printer icon in the taskbar. If it is more than a few MB, that may explain the slow speed.

i assume the wifi connection is very good?
if not that may also cause slowness

Thanks for all the answers. It looks that the problem caused by bad connection. Resetting the modem helped.
