Windows 10 install on my Windows 7 laptop

Is there a way to force the Windows 10 update on my Windows 7 laptop?
Tired of waiting for the Icon to appear on my desktop.

If you do all your MS Updates, it should come up.

If you have a Retail or OEM Version it does so automatically.

However if your Win7 or Win8/8.1  is from Microsoft Downloads such as Action Pack  or If you are a DOMAIN member on a corporate network - It will not show up.  If you are using a Microsoft Download you should be able to download it and install.  If you're on a Domain network, You must either move off the domain or buy upgrade licenses.

Make sure that you BACK UP your entire machine before trying the update, especially if you are trying to upgrade a system that is not OEM or Retail Version.
