Wireless SSID

I have multiple locations in different cities.  I am setting up wireless in all locations.  Can I make the SSID and password for all locations the same.  They will no doubt get a different ip on each.  My thought is for the users to always look for the same SSID regardless of which location they are in.  Any issues with that ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It should work, but they will likely have to reboot their machines between locations.

Since it is easy to set up wireless profiles, just use different SSID's.  I cannot set (different locations) why there would be an issue.

I don't think exactly the same Wi-Fi profile will work in two different setups so you will need multiple profiles. However this is no big deal.

My expectation is that you would be able to have the same SSID and people could move between them seamlessly, as long as the DHCP leases are either centrally coordinated or short enough that they expire in the time it takes to get from one location to the other.
