Sharepoint Site for Citrix application

In our environment we have SharePoint Site which is used as Intranet, it has icon shortcuts to applications.
Some of the applications are web applications, that means when user clicks on it , it opens up a website. The one I am interested in knowing how it is configured is the icons that opens up citrix published applications.
When user clicks on the icon on sharepoint site, it launches citrix receiver then it opens up the application.
I need to know how they have configured this to happen? is it configured in SharePoint or in Citrix ? in either cases how  is it configured?

Thank you

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you download the file? I suspect from your description that it is just a .ICA file.

There's you answer then. Someone has create the ICA files - most likely using the Citrix Quick Launch utility - and loaded them up to SharePoint.

The utility is available here: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX122536
