Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Delete normal.dotm?

What do you have in the way of Addins/ macros?

Expanding on DrTribos comment, if you delete NORMAL.DOTM and run Word, it will create a new one automatically with the default settings.  BTW, there will be a NORMAL.DOTM for each user.
And, FYI, uninstalling and reinstalling seldom fixes things.  Its better to use the repair function under the change button as it will explicitly look for corrupted files and settings.
Why did you do the uninstall?
